I enjoyed this hike. Good climb to start and then it levels off quite a bit for the loop. I took my 10 year old dog and she was tired at the end but overall this was a great trail for me and the pup!
Pretty easy hike, there are a few spots that you have to climb a bit but nothing too bad at all. Saw lots of mountain bikers and runners on the trail, pretty trafficked on the weekends. The views, while not breathtaking, are nice. Took our seven year old and it was a little long for her but she did just fine.
Nice moderate hike with good views in all directions.
South mountain is amazing because it has so many different trails! This trail specifically is a gem because it has a great trail that loops and it's easy to follow. You can run the trail if you want to get better exercise, but just be cautious of mountain bikers. I highly recommend this trail to anyone in the valley.
