Nice, not a loop trail.
Great walk for beginners or someone that wants to stay close to town.
Hike is 2.0 miles each way, not 2.5 round trip, unless you start in the middle which is possible. Some shade on the trail and plenty of shady spots for a rest if needed. Scenery is amazing. My track out did not record for some reason but the way back did. Up took 2 hours from Morgan road trailhead. Morgan road is off the roundabout. Go to end. Road changes to dirt and turns right. Parking is on left about 200 feet up. A jeep trail starts here too, generally crowded with pink beep tours. No worry the trail goes away from the noise and dust!! Scenery is incredible and changes with the sun. I'm trying to upload some pictures. Great kid hike. Beginner hike. Couch potato paradise. Take lots of water. I recommend 48 oz per person. Great hike to bring a chair and contemplate the beauty. If you are a pro, continue on to Huckaby trail and add another couple miles, which would make the overall trek 8 miles.
One of the best short hikes anywhere. Scenic and easy. Best to start at southern end. Take Morgan Road off 179 at a roundabout. It's 2.2 miles to the northern end and gentle upward climb. It will take about twice as long going up as coming back. With lots of stops for pictures figure 2 hours up. It will take 1hr 15 min to return which will be gentle downhill hill most of the way. Figure 48 oz of water per person or more if it's hot or overweight. Sun changes the pictures and shadows so there's no bad time. We started at 10 AM had lunch at the huckaby intersection and returned. Nice day!!
Short enough trail with beautiful scenery (if you're willing to climb some rocks!). Completed this in about an hour and a half (with stops to take pictures). I would say that this trail is on the easy side.
Great, easy hike. Ran back part of the way. The view of the rocks is phenomenal.
Nice and flat trail. Good hike when not a lot of time. Experienced the trail late in the day.
Great trail that isn't to hard on the legs. Wonderful views of the plateaus and mesas as well as the desert wildlife. Trail gets a little confusing if you miss the signage and you will end up following a 'trailblazer' trail to a residential area.
