Park infront of the gate and walk about .4 miles down to the end of horse head road to reach the trail head. We took the first fork to the right. Then found the trail following the left side of the creek. It's not clearly marked, but not too hard to find. The trail is rocky and narrow. The canyon is beautiful! Tons of wildflowers in March. At the end there is a deep pool and a waterfall. The water is cold!
Great exercise on a quiet, not well traveled peaceful trail. At the first fork I went right, then left at all the other "T's". When crossing the second big stream/ sandy bed walked West to find a beautiful little water fall. Great place to chill. Crossing the 3rd stream was a little difficult to find the trail.
Bueautiful trail. The trail splits - if you stay left, you'll be above the canyon to your right. You can clearly hear and see the water flow below. Loved going down to the pools and waterfall. beautiful.
could not find trailhead
Side off main trail shorts 3mile easy hike O/B 6 miles total NICE falls with three levels of pools. difficult if you climb to the top. Vertical climb W/O ropes. Pitons galore especially on south facing ridge. I have read reviews of the main trail Which is La Milagrosa ridge trail (forget the Aqual Caliente Trail in the title or you will get Aqua Caliente Warm Springs Which is south of this trail. Reviews at LocalTrails.Com have this as a difficult and long overnight trail. I don't know (yet)
