Very nice moderate course. Decent views and not heavily traveled. Right next to Salt River. Great for a hike if you are bored with same ole trails. There is a neat old abandoned mine if your brave. Built into the rock - not held up by wood beams at all but is a lil smelly. :)
Wonderful place for a Christmas Day hike!
Trail is nice and wide, clean, easy flow of traffic. Saw mostly mountain bikers throughout the trek, but the breezes were great, get exactly what you'd expect from this Loop!
Nice hike! Mostly level, a few inclines. Did the 6 mile loop. Lots of Mountain bikers. Would do it again. Not as many scenic views, although Ref Mountain was a highlight!
Beautiful sights, more designed for mtn biking, I prefer more of a Mtn climb, but great work out, friendly bikers
Hiked this trail this morning. Followed the loop on this site and found it very easy technically but it was a workout. I'm 59 and in decent shape but not "in shape" so to speak. Map was accurate and I spent just under three hours on the loop - which included a number of short stops to take in the views. Probably a 2.5 hour loop otherwise. Saw a cotton tail rabbit, a scorpion, multiple lizards, and a small rodent that I was not close enough to accurately identify. A few other hikers were on the trail and a dozen or so mountain bikers. I definitely recommend this trail.
2 pedometers measured over 8 miles but was a nice hike we did while talking about everything.
Beautiful area during the morning. I wouldn't call this trail easy, yet I wouldn't call it hard. Definitely bring a decent amount of water with you for this hike.
nice and easy
Great easy hike to experience nature, practically in your backyard.
great hike .
Love this trail. Beautiful views. Quiet.
Turned out to be like 9 miles
