Cape Final is a 4.2 mile out and back trail located near North Rim, Arizona that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and camping and is best used from May until October.
An easy to moderate out and back hike with excellent views at the end. Took us about two hours total walking at a reasonable pace and stopping at each of the view points to enjoy the sights. Parking lot not crowded at 10 am when we arrived but almost full when we returned at Noon.
Great trail with a moderate incline on the way in and decline on the way out. At the top there are great views of the Grand Canyon available from several rock outcroppings. The first mile and a half is through a shaded forest area without much of a view, but the shade was nice. The last half mile was well worth the effort.
