Beautiful easy walk/hike. Easily one of my favorites to do in this area. Slight rolling hills and zig zags between large saguaros. Just love it!
fun to share trail with horses
We loved this hike! It offers a challenge as well as spectacular views! We climbed all the way to the top! My 9 yr old daughter wants to go back soon. It is dog friendly but I wouldn't recommend it as there are many cholla cactus and pieces on and along the trail.
Great views that I didn't expect and nice trail. I too was attached by fly's and ants at the top.
Trail head has lots of Parking and nice bathroom area. They provide maps as well. Tons of different trails, but all are well marked. I went to the top of brown mountain and quickly came back down. There was 100 flies that attacked me at the top. Not sure if that was just a one time thing or all the time. Trail is easy up the mountain and only gets a little steep with .2 to go. I give it a 3 star because of the flies... I would do other mountains around though. It took me 18 minutes from the trailhead to the top. 1.5 miles up FYI
Wide trail and depending on the time of day has a lot of Bike traffic. Nice hike.
Really enjoyed this hike. Scramble to the summit was worth it..Andrea was right! Rest of the trail was easy and we were able to enjoy our beautiful desert.
Nice hike. The circumference is easy. If you want to go up to the summit, its a little steep and scrambly but theres a well trodden trail to follow. The views are great at the top. The Brown Ranch trail itself is easy and offers great views of the scenery, flowers, and wildlife. We saw a rattlesnake at the trailhead!
2 days ago. Great hike with good views, nice facilities, great variety of flora, easy to moderate.
Great views and well worth the last .2 miles to the summit, which is fairly steep. The rest of the hike is very moderate. The 4.2 mile loop is very beautiful, with good examples of wildflowers and blooming cactus. Go early and you'll have most of the hike to yourself. By 10:00 am it can get somewhat busy, with lots of mountain bikers on the lower portion of the Brown Ranch trails.
Nice easy hike in the beginning with slightly rolling flatland and then an incline to the look out at the top of the mountain and then took the trail loop as it wrapped around (the backside wasn't as pretty as the Brown Ranch trail, wrangler trail was great too!)
Loved the trail maintenance and scenery was very pretty.
Awesome trail! Well maintained !! Not good for strollers!
