Directions from Flagstaff: Drive 27 miles south on US 89A to Sedona and turn west (right) on Jordan road. Follow it about a mile to the trailhead. Or continue through Sedona to Dry Creek Road, turn north about a mile to Vultee Arch Road (FR 152) and north about 2.5 miles to the Soldier's Pass trailhead. It's a mile and half hike to the Brins Mesa Trail intersection. The last 1/4 mile of Jordan Road and all 3 miles of FR 152 can be a bit rough.

The directions on here take you to the middle of no-where. You need to turn on Jordan Rd off of the 89A and just take that all the way back. You'll end on a dirt road. Otherwise, amazing hike! Beautiful views and a decent climb for a short little day hike.

This trail is really fun and takes you away from the sound of cars within 4 miles. Once you reach the top of Brins Mesa from soldier pass the trail is poorly marked. On top of the Mesa you'll walk through tall grass and what's left of a burn that went through the area. This will take you to a quick drop back down the OTHER SIDE. At this point you'll loop (to the right) and head up a natural staircase that leads to a flat table. Follow the barbed wire back towards Brins and you should find s hole in the wire fence. From that point the trail is marked again and you can find your car in the soldiers pass parking lot (about 2 miles from where you get off Brins Mesa trail)),

Anyway, awesome trail. Poorly marked.

We did the loop taking Brin then to Soldiers Pass them on to Jordan then to cibola and ended where we parked. If you start at the trailhead as directed you have to pay $5 for a day fee. Not crowded trail so parking was easy but the trail was poorly
Marked so recommend taking pic of map at trailhead; we did have to ask passers by if they saw trail
Sign as we came down off soldiers pass. BUT, a great hike that was kid friendly, they loved climbing the rocks. Beautiful views atop of Brin Mesa. A great 7+ mile
Hike.

My first Sedona hike, and it didn't disappoint. I easily found the trailhead {off Jordan road} and headed off. Decided to do the loop, rather than the out and back. So took Brins Mesa to the top {spectacular 360º views, especially with a little thunderstorm coming in from the NW} then headed down via Soldier Pass, Jordan and Cibola. The trails were pretty well marked {especially Jordan} though I did take a few little detours - some on purpose, some, well... The 4+ mile route I did was a moderate workout and I'm feeling it this morning. Loved this trail, and can't wait to add other Sedona hikes to my list.

Great trail. The views from the top of the Mesa are breathtaking. If you continue to hike beyond the top the hike goes for another 2 miles making for a nice long hike. Just remember you have to hike back out.

We started at the the end closest to Devils bridge. Hiked 2.2 miles to the trailhead and then hiked straight to the other end. We didn't loop around, we had a separate car waiting on the other side at Jordan park. Nice views. The tail section of the trail didn't have that great of views. I'd stick to just the loop

Lovely, moderate hike with great views. Note that Voltee Arch Road is for 4x4, high clearance vehicles only and if you park at Dry Creek Road, you'll walk along this 4x4 road for 3 miles before arriving at the trailhead. Not quite ideal but you can also hit the Devil's Bridge Trail if you take this route. Otherwise, use the Jordon Road trailhead.

Great hike in Sedona today. Started up Soldier's Pass, turned at Brins Mesa, and then returned to the trailhead via Cibola Pass. A surprised thunderstorm hit us as we crested Brins Mesa, creating a beautiful scene.

Nice easygoing walk thru juniper trees for first mile then upwards on more steep rock stairs & narrow trail to top of Mesa. Beautiful views all the way, but especially on top of mesa.

You have to park at Soldier Pass Parking Lot to get here. Then take Soldier Pass hike or Jordon if you want. The directions don't tell you this. You can turn it to to a loop.
