Once above the plant growth, it starts to climb moderately through somewhat rocky terrain. From the top, one can see a good view of Eagle River Valley and the surrounding mountains.
Popular trail since its right in Eagle River, a lot of activities are done from this mountain, a lot of times during sunny days in the summer you will have paragliders flying around which make it a neat experience. Be careful when the ground is wet, this climb is especially slippery once you begin the steep section near the top half.
Beautiful views and so close to Anchorage. Great afternoon hike.
Beautiful hike! Especially at sunset. Some muddy spots. Walking sticks helped alot. Great views!
Good all around training trail. Access point to other hikes and peaks.
A quick hike that gives you a great view both out towards Anchorage and out towards the valley.
Awesome views, little challenging. Took the wife and kid in a carrier, both did fine. Would recommend this hike, well worth it!
Was a good hike. Child friendly and good for beginners. Trail is heavily used and well packed for easy hiking. It does get steep towards the end but nothing hardcore.
Tough, steep incline but what a hike!
Fun easy hike
