Loved this hike! It actually has one very steep section to it. You can hike all the way around the lake. Gorgeous scenery and vistas.

Ok trail. VERY Accessible. Has boardwalks too to keep out of the marshy pond. Trail track listed here is misleading you can hike entire way around the lake. lots of beavers our working on their dams and there is actually a train crossing during the first 1/4 mile of the trail. Time if around 1630 to see the AKRR cut through.

Breathtaking picturesque views of the pond with the mountain backdrop. Go slow and take it all in... Nice boardwalk section, river section and tons of geologically interesting things to see if you take the full loop... Go see the beaver dam then take the rest of the trail.. Don't just turn around and go back up.

short but great little hike, beaver ponds and moose sightings.

They are doing a good job of upgrading the trail, e.g. adding log steps on the steeper portions. You may see a beaver patrolling the dam or a moose bathing and grazing in the lake.

No pets on park trails. There looks to be a trail that accesses it from outside the park possibly, though. We accessed the trail from within the park near the railroad tracks. Didn't see the little "no dog" symbols on all of the trail signs. Short hike down to lake, can be steep coming back up. Well maintained.
