Guide to the Forest Loop Trail in Bartlett Cove of Glacier Bay National Park. The Forest Loop Trail is an easy nature trail that starts and ends at the Glacier Bay Lodge in Bartlett Cove of Glacier Bay National Park. Along the way you'll see some great natural resources. Watch for Barrow's Goldeneye on the pond. In summer, listen for the "booming" of Sooty Grouse. Enjoy fungi and wildflowers along the trail. There's also a Tlingit canoe near the shore of the cove and some Tlingit-style carvings on trees. Note that traditional "culturally modified trees" did not involve carving a design into the trees, so these are somewhat out of place, but they are fun to see all the same.
