St Catherine's Point Loop is a 2.8 mile loop trail located near the city of Fowey that offers scenic views. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for walking. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
A great short walk that takes in lots of views and interesting features. Starting at the NT Car Park at Coombe Haven Farm you walk along fields and then into Covington Wood that sits above Readymoney Cove. There's lot's of interesting things hidden in the woods for historians and archaelogists, mainly of a military background, but if you can find the memeorial it was built on the site of a medieval church. leaving the woods and St Catherine's Point and its hidden treasure you head out onto the coast path. This section is not to hilly and makes for a great walk whether windy, sunny or blowing a hoolie. You also pass two little beaches which are always empty. the third beach you reach is Polridmouth and this whole area is the setting for Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. the house on the beach is the infamous boat house and Menabily (the inspiration for Manderley) sits up the valley hidden by trees. the house cannot be seen from the walk and is strictly private. In the distance you can see the Gribben daymark, a big red and white tower - but that's for another walk. For now you head uphill and back to the carpark.
