Whernside Loop Trail is a 8 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Gearstones, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
A good circular route with excellent views of the Ribblehead viaduct. The path is extremely well marked and heavily trafficked. The descent is steep and you need to take a hard right turn, after the descent to take the Bridleway back towards the viaduct. The wind was extremely strong on our walk with very little shelter along the ridge. The route can get very busy on weekends as it is part of the 3-peaks challenge.
