Harrop Tarn Loop is a 2.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Wythburn, England, United Kingdom that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round.
It's only three stars because there are no stunning, magnificent views. You do get views of Thirlmere on a couple of occasions around the walk. Other than that, it's perfectly decent to while away an hour or so. Make sure you have the right footwear as the start of the walk which follows Dob Gill is fairly steep, rocky and in places marshy and muddy. The tarn is a treat and a great photo op.
