Astley Hall, Chorley is a 5 mile loop trail located near the city of Astley Village. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for walking. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
This is a mix terrain circular walk that takes you through Astley Park (43 hectares of well tended parkland and ancient woods) and on into the town centre markets and then back round through housing estates. Along the way you will pass Chorley's famous Astley Hall Museum and Art Gallery which is often referred to as the 'Jewel in Chorley's crown' and features among the Simon Jenkins book 'Britain's Best 1,000 Houses'. Astley Hall is one of the most significant buildings in the North West, with a fascinating history of families who lived there and some magnificent architecture.
