This route follows the well signed local walk, La Ruta de Agua. The ancient mountain village of Sella is located 18Km inland from the coastal town of Villajoyosa on the Spanish Costa Blanca. This small and authentic village is surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks and ridges, almond terraces, forested valley trails and dramatic gorges, making it a perfect location for walkers. Sella is also famous for having some of the best rock climbing in Europe. This walk which in such a mountainous region is a relatively easy route, and is a great introduction to walking in this area. Depending on the time of year, you will see olives, almond blossom, oranges and lemons, various wild herbs, several varieties of birds and if you are really lucky, maybe a wild boar! As well as your GPS data, the walk is well sign posted and waymarked (look out for the green and white paint marks) so you shouldn't get lost!. There are also several information boards at key locations during the course of the walk with information in Spanish, Valencian (the local language) and English.
