El Raval Cultural Walking Tour is a 1.9 mile point-to-point trail located near Barnatresc, Barcelona, Spain. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for walking.
A walk through the historic streets of Barcelona's 'fifth quarter'. The barrio of El Raval unfolds south from Carrer Sant Pau toward the port district of Drassanes. Currently Barcelona's hippest urban area, El Raval is a traditional working-class neighborhood in flux. As the boutique hotels and contemporary art galleries imbue it with a new kudos, it retains an edge that the more touristy and gentrified areas lost years ago. The narrow streets, once rife with characters from Barcelona's underworld-prostitutes, pimps, strippers and drug dealers-have been cleaned up and are filled with an upbeat crowd now.
this is an interesting area of town. It's not as commercialized but you will see tourists there (thankfully not as many as on La Ramblas. The walk was easy, the few points of interest were good to see.
