Seryeom Waterfall Course - Chiaksan National Park is a 4.1 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near the city of Wonju-Si that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.
This is a short easy hiking trail to a small waterfall at Chiaksan National Park. From the parking lot the trail is a very gentle slop along a stream up into a small valley. There is a large temple a short distance from the trailhead directly along the trail route. This particular trail ends at Seryeom Waterfall, and is a gentle easy hike. As an option you can continue on from Seryeom Waterfall to Birobong Peak however the trail is steep and rugged, so its recommended to those looking for a challenge. There are more than 1,000 steps on Sadari Byeongchanggil. The 2.7km trail leading from the falls to Birobong Peak is one of the most difficult trails in the mountain.
Hiked this easy trail today with my boys. The hike to the waterfall is a nice easy stroll along a stream. The trail can then be continued up to the peak in better weather. Unfortunately that part of the trail was closed due to snow and we didn't have proper gear so the ranger wouldn't allow us to continue.
