Annesgrove Gardens Loop is a 5.9 mile loop trail located near the city of Castletownroche. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running.
Park at the Grotto on the Fermoy side of Castletownroche, just before the mill. Take the road to your right leading to Kildorrery and, after just over half a mile, take the left fork. Follow this road, which parallels the Awbeg river and meanders northward with a splendid view of the Ballyhoura Mountains in the distance. The road then enters a low-lying glen. Keep left at the next fork and continue on to Ballywalter Crossroads, 3 miles from Castletownroche and 10 miles from Mallow. Turn left and, after a third of a mile, keep left at the fork in the road. Continue across the bridge over the Awbeg river, keeping Annesgrove Gardens on your left. Continue in a southerly direction overlooking the Awbeg River until you arrive back at Castletownroche and the Grotto.
