Stayiates to Ag.Dimitrios Trail is a 1.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Stagiátes, Thessaly, Greece that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
The trail from Stagiates to Ag.Dimitrios cemetery has been used by local people until the day that the first city bus reached Stagiates in 1963. There are many view points of interest along the trail which becomes steep after the first 300 meters on the way down to the creek. Crossing the creek is not difficult most of the time. You can make a stop in the creek where you can take a look at the ruins of a watermill that was used for the production of wheat flour since 1888.
