A 7km walk into the Gascony forest to Moncaut creek springs. Mysterious springs said to cure several illnesses. Do not touch the clothes hanged by sick people!
Departure from the Romanesque church of Saint George de Lussole (XIIth) and its bell-gable, style that is found in other municipalities in the province. The forest track accompanies the walker to a sandy track inside the pine forest and winds its way to a small oratory chapel heralding the Mouncaut sources. They recall the old pastoral beliefs and immerse the visitor in a haunted atmosphere of witches and magicians. This setting is accentuated by the presence of cloths hanging on the branches, left by the pilgrims who came to visit the three miraculous sources: Saint-Eutrope (headaches), St. Anthony (stomach ache), Saint-George (rheumatisms). Extreme caution is recommended in October and November, hunting season for common wood pigeons.
