A very easy and smooth urban walk around a small town in South-West France. Founded in the 12th century along a river, you will find remains of its commercial activities linked to river transport of agricultural goods to Bayonne's Atlantic port. Today a major French air force base hosting trials and trainings. Along the city you will find the Spanish influence (bull ring).
A walk to discover the main points of interest of the Landes prefecture: remains of the river port, junction of the Douze and the Midou rivers forming the Midouze river, parks and gardens. Departure and arrival from the old battlements and the medieval tower converted into a museum of the figurative french sculpture of the early twentieth century (Donjon Lacataye Museum Despiau-Wlérick).
