The Roquefort Loop Trail is a 3.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Roquefort, Landes, France that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
A 5.9km loop between Roquefort and Sarbazan A 5.9km loop between Roquefort and Sarbazan at the border between the forest of Gascony and Armagnac country - famous for its brandy. Do not confuse it with Cognac or you will vex Armagnac producers!
The walk starts at Roquefort, an ancien castelnau of the XIIth century located at the confluence of the Estampon and the Douze rivers. After the wooden arenas classified as historical monuments, the walker enters a wood leading to the mill of Batan and the Gallo-Roman site of Mouneyres in the neighboring town of Sarbazan. The return towards Roquefort takes the walker to a rural area and then along the Estampon river
