Bastia: Impressive long front austere old houses, old marina and the citadel. cardo: small village with view over Bastia Bastia is the perfect place to start your visit of Corsica. The districts of Terra Vecchia and Terra Nova are intriguing. The long front of the old houses still have the impact of bullets of the second world-war and the buildings seems to have been frozen hundreds of years ago. The marina is crowded at night and it's a delight to have dinner with the view on the marina and the citadel. If you have a car or if you have enough energy to walk a quite long uphill, you should visit the small village of Cardo located just 5 minutes by car from the centre.
