Main Loop Trail is a 2.2 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Hamilton, Ontario, Canada that offers scenic views. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running.
Nice trail, but quite crowded on weekends. It seems to be especially popular with mountain bikers. The trail starts of at a cute trail centre that used to be a train station back in the day; there you can pick up maps (not very detailed) and learn about wildlife, plants etc. of the area.
If you want to get away from the crowds i recommend combining it with the Heritage Trail.
Great trail! Lots of wildlife and plant life. Lots of hills. Lots of historical sites as well! Connects with the Heritage Trail on Old Dundas where there is free parking!
