Lynde Shores Conservation Area is a 1.6 mile point-to-point trail located near Whitby, Ontario, Canada that features a river. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, birding, and canoeing.
We come here often to feed the chipmunks and squirrels. Lot's of nice geocaches here as well!
What a beautiful spot. Adjacent to the parking lot is a 500 metre circular trail that skirts a small pond and features tons of water fowl, chipmunks and very tame songbirds. This area is very crowded but almost no one seems to venture beyond this area. Trails of 2km or more take you through wetlands, meadows and down to Lake Ontario where you can stand on the beach and enjoy the sight of a large flock of white swans. Very easy walking and so much to see and enjoy!
