Attempted on 2016-12-27 but there are an incredible amount of fallen trees in the way, making it close to impossible on snowshoes. I'm not sure BC Hydro will clear this in the coming weeks/months, so be prepared to turn around...
Great trail! Pretty steep at the beginning but not the like the Binkert Trail, which I think is totally brutal. Amazing views once you reach the top. The views are to the left once you reach the junction and this is the long way to Lindsay Lake. The shorter distance is to the left. I did not spend much time exploring the lakes but they are really pretty. Took me 5.5 hours and I was moving!! Not a lot of stopping for breaks. Great trail for dogs. Lots of water and not hard on feet. Watch them at the look outs because there is no coming back if they go over. Highly recommended!
A really nice hike up to a couple small lakes, worth the extra bit up to Eagle Peak though.
We hiked in July and the trail was muddy in a lot of parts so be prepared for some mud, gators would be a fools idea.
It was a little colder at the top of the mountain and there were a couple patches of snow here and there.
