Such a beautiful hike! Once you get close to the lakes the scenery is greener and the hike is more enjoyable. We didn't hike all the way to the glacier, but stopped for a picnic in the valley where we could see the glacier. Definitely a good hike to do in the summer. We went in August and the lake water was freezing so don't anticipate swimming! Good for a refreshing/freezing dip if you're into that!
Hiked in to the center of the park and stayed at the Slocan Chief Cabin. First time was with my wife in the late 70's from the Nelson side from Gibson Lake and then again in the early 80's with Ken and Kelly Kern from the Slocan side via Enterprise Creek. It's not a really big park, but packs in a lot of spectacular scenery.
Breathtaking. Completed the hike in late July, camped at Kaslo lake. Beautiful glacier, wildlife, lakes, rocks, everything! Looking forward to returning in the fall!
