Great hike! This is a nice hike that is pretty much uphill the entire way although a few of the switchbacks do level it out a little bit. The views are pretty awesome, especially from the summit. It takes about an hour for the uphill portion and about 40" for the return
Relatively steep hike the whole way . Amazing views at the top!
30mins up. super easy pounded out and well maintained switchbacks. Up and down 75mins, taking it slow. great am hike to start the day before crowds show up
Good trail with pretty good incline. Great views of Banff area.
Get there before 10 am or it's tough to find parking. There are few access points along the trail and is about 1.5-2 hrs roundtrip depending on your speed. It may also get you breathing hard as this is not a flat trail. Great views, good for dogs and children, nice little hike to cross off your list.
Nice view with a hike that's not all that difficult. The lookout point was a little crowded.
Definitely a moderate trail with steady, low-grade, incline most of the way. Worth the hike to see great views of Banff!
What local hasn't hiked this tiny beast lol if you haven't I'll personally bring you up there myself!
this was a nice short hike with a lovely View.
Nice easy hike close to town. Great views from the top and well maintained done it a few times one was New Years Day and still good in winter conditions. Plenty of space and a few deck chairs up top to have a snack or a beer!
Love this hike. It's super easy and amazing views but the whole way. Gets cold up the top so take some gloves and a beanie
We decided to take the upper trail head which was closed to vehicles in the winter. We parked along the closed car gate and walked on the snow-covered road for about 2-3KM to get to the trail.
The trail itself has a lot of switch backs, and has a constant incline so you should be moderately active. Crampons and hiking poles are suggested - I had my poles and still managed to fall (oops).
The panoramic views of banff is something you can't miss.
