Sibbald Flats is a 10 mile loop trail located near Alberta, Alberta, Canada and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and mountain biking and is accessible from May until October.
Nice simple trails. A little more popular around the camp-ground than I'd like but not so bad. Been to the Sibbald area many times. Very green, tails mostly in forest areas.
Great trail really easy to follow not a lot of snow yet so didn't need snowshoes. The trail is mostly just a hike along a cut forest trail, a couple of small elevation gains along the Eagle trail to the lookout which was about 12kms return back to the trailhead but generally pretty easy going. Lots of Whiskey Jacks that are more than happy to eat lunch out of your hand. Almost impossible to get lost as all the trails except the final 4K of the
Eagle trail just circle around.
Great trail to get back in the swing of things after a long winter. Love the views and my dogs love all the water to soak in along the way to cool off.
Love this trail, nice rolling trail through the trees.great for conditioning for longer trails.
We left from the Dawson parking lot and the trail we snowshoed/hiked was awesome, but they are very poorly marked. There are a couple of maps but it is very difficult to decide which trail the maps refer to. It was a lot of up hill which lead to a fantastic view overlooking the valley. There wasn't enough snow once we got a third of the way up so we hiked teh rest.
