Sandy McNabb Trail is a 6.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Kew, Alberta, Canada that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from March until November.
It was about 7km, however there are different routes. Lovely gentle climb, just a generally nice hike without it being too taxing. Kids (5&7) loved the flowers. We didn't see any other hikers, only a few riders.
This trail is so pretty. Great views of the mountains in the heart of the foothills. The overview of this trail says its primarily used for walking but its not! Horses own these trails. If you visit Sandy McNabb you will see groups of people and their beautiful horses. Its an awesome trail and longer than 1.1 miles. I believe my garmin clocked 4.75 miles.
