Prospectors Point Trail is a 1.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Parkland County, AB that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

You drive directly into Prospectors Point parking lot and you are only steps from the water. This is one of the few spots in the entire river valley system where you can walk along the riverside. It is very peaceful and serene in the valley in the mornings. It is also a favourite spot to find gold panners working the river valley looking for those flakes of gold. The river offers unlimited opportunities to hike, fish, canoe or simply relax and enjoy the scenery. This amazing river covers almost our entire southern boundary and is one of the true "Gems" of Parkland County. Come for a visit.
New trail that can be hiked or biked from top to bottom or button to top. Can't wait until the connection to Devonian Gardens, hopefully this year. Steep sections coming out of the river.
