Moraine Lake Rockpile Trail is a 0.9 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Alberta, Alberta, Canada that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible from June until August.
I have done this twice now. In June 2015 and October 2016 back from the Larch Valley Hike. Absolutely idyllic spot. Just gorgeous scenery and fantastic views of Moraine Lake and the valley of the 10 peaks in the background.
Snowy and icy today... A wonderful hike nonetheless.
Great view. Crowded- so get there early.
Beautiful views of what I consider to be one of the two most beautiful lakes I've ever seen. If you're wondering what my other favorite lake is, it's Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park.
5 stars just for the view, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, super easy hike, must do!
Lake was frozen which was pretty neat. Nothing hard just very very pretty.
Very short loop walk, but very scenic. Great views of Moraine Lake and the 10 Peaks. Best time is mid. morning for photographing.
I love the view. One of my favorite places to bring family and friends.
A Glacier pushed up a huge amount of rock to form Lake Moraine. A very scenic place!
