Muttart Conservatory Loop Trail is a 0.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Edmonton, AB that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from April until September.
The Muttart Conservatory is one of Edmonton's most iconic structures. Built in 1976 from an initial grant of $1 million form Gladys and Merrill Muttart, the conservatory grounds stand where a former brickyard and city dump operated. The pyramids display gardens are a welcome sight for all and provide relief during the long winter season. Designed by award-winning Canadian architect Peter Hemingway, the Muttart Conservatory officially opened in September 1976 and operates year round. The grounds around the Conservatory are a beautiful, relaxing walk and you get some great views of the pyramid structures and the greenhouse operations. If you're hungry, you can drop in at Cullina's for a fantastic lunch right in the lobby of the Muttart. make sure you go into the Muttart and enjoy the displays.
