I enjoyed this one a lot - such pretty habitat in full autumn splendour. A good moderate work out. There are mo water taps, so don't forget your bottle!

Not impressed

Very pretty landscape. Mountains, prairies, cattle, CP rail trains, River, trees, wild life… Pretty much everything Alberta has to offer all in one spot. Pathways are all gravel or paved so I would describe it as more of a walk than a hike.

Nice little hike between Calgary and Cochrane. Consists of more than one Trail. All very well marked and groomed. Good for either hiking or biking with paved and gravel paths.

It is what it is, a paved path for those who like that sort of thing. Yes most of the gates are locked and lots of signs indicating that you are not allowed in the fenced pastures so if you chose to ignore the warnings you're on your own. But as a place to take your dog for a walk or as a place to enjoy some pretty nice scenery within minutes of Cochrane its pretty darn nice. I walked 15 kms along paved paths on a beautiful sunny winter day and only ran into four other people. Is it nature at its finest ? maybe not, but to have something so close for those who may never enjoy a hike in the mountains its pretty damn sweet.

Hated this place. Paved walk ways and fences everywhere. They also have rangers patrolling on horseback so you don't step out of line. You're not allowed anywhere near the river, it seems like a mirage in the distance. If you ever wanted to have a taste of 1984, go here. Someone's always watching you.

Great place to go outside of Calgary if you only have a couple of hours. Wheelchair accessible however I warn there are a couple of large hills which could be hard to control speed and get back up.
