Janapar Trail - Gandzasar to Vaghuhas is a 6.5 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Khotovang, Kəlbəcər, Azerbaijan that features beautiful wild flowers. The trail is good for all skill levels offers a number of activity options.
NOTE: Please check with locals as to the safety of hiking this route at this time. THIS SECTION heading north from Stepanakert has historically been virtually UNMARKED. Small sections have been marked, but nothing to rely upon. The entire Janapar Trail south of Stepanakert is marked, so go to trail sections 1 to 7 if you prefer a well marked trail. For this and other sections north, you can use topographic maps as a reference, which is something you undertake at your own risk. It is recommended that you use extreme caution. Also consider hiring a guide. They are not very expensive and will make the hike more interesting as well as find the way easily. A relatively easy hike. Rolling forested hills take you over from the village of Vank, often called Gandzasar as well due to the very well known monastery there, and on to Vaghuhas.
