Wetterstein Alps under Hohe Munde Peak Trail is a 6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near the city of Leutasch that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round.
The Leutasch village is located approximately 30 km northwest of Innsbruck, Austria, in the valley along the Wetterstein mountain range (Wettersteingebirge). The moderate round trip from Leutasch – Moos trailhead to under Hohe Münde peak is about 10 km, gaining about 895 m in elevation. It generally takes about 5.5 hours for average hikers to complete the round trip, allowing a reasonable time for making refreshment stops.
