Zamia Trail is a 3.2 mile loop trail located near the city of Perth that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from April until September. Horses are also able to use this trail.
Zamia Trail is the longest of the walk trails around Bold Park in Floreat. You'll walk through a very natural bush setting with occasional views of the ocean and the city. The wide trail is family friendly although there are a few hilly sections. Why not visit the park early one morning to experience the bushland alive with birdlife. Or visit at dusk to discover bats and possums? Bold Park also boasts a spectacular array of wildflowers for you to enjoy throughout the year, particularly in spring. Restoration planting using local, indigenous plants enhances the existing flora which features banksias, wattles, quandongs and other limestone loving plants such as the Cockies Tongue. Over 80 species of birds, brushtail possums, bats, frogs, and reptiles including geckos, lizards, skinks and snakes also inhabit the area. Walking and horse trails dissect this beautiful park and suit various fitness levels.
