An 800m interpretive skills loop with a variety of challenges suitable for beginners with a harder skills area attached. The Shake, Rattle n Roll skills loop and adjacent skinny skills area, "The Siding" is the perfect place for beginners, families and intermediate riders to hone their skills. Located adjacent to the popular Calamunnda Camel Farm, the 800m track has 7 interpretive signs leading in to suitable obstacles. Stop and read the signs to pick up some tips to improve your skills. The skills loop was constructed by RocknRoll mountain biking, who provide skills courses and guided rides. Funding came from the Live Lighter campaign and the project was managed by WAMBA.
This is a beginner training/practice loop with skill pointers signed up around the trail and obstacles for learning control. The Mountain Bike Clinics run by Rock n Roll Mountain Biking use this at the beginning of their novice clinics before they do the "real" runs. 100% mountain biking - nothing else!
I took my son here to teach him how to break, change gear and position himself on his bike, then we got a trail map from the bike hire place and took off for 3 hours on the bike trails - it is a great place to mountain bike - trails for all skill levels.
