Gene B. on Mill Knob Trail
Nice hike, somewhat steep, no view with leaves on trees, interesting falls, caves and kiln in addition to quiet forest
This was a good hike. Nice for a day out of the house. The falls are at the beginning of the hike on Bradley Trail which loops into the Chamberlain Trail. Chamberlain is mostly a walk through the woods but great for some exercise. The falls are not as beautiful as the Cascades but still nice to look at and should be appreciated for what they are. The Cascades are way too nice for comparison anyway.
This is a really nice trail but it is definitely not easy. There are 2 trails - the longer one called the Chamberlin trial is about 4 miles round trip and at points it's darn near straight up the side of the mountain. The shorter one is closer to the falls/stream and the beginning is pretty steep as well. It was a great way to spend a few hours and it's very well maintained. However, despite the notes on here that it is dog friendly, dogs are not supposed to be in the preserve/on the trail.

Great enjoyed seeing wild flowers and the waterfall.
There are a couple trails here. We took a short loop around the falls, and then a longer hike around the peak of the mountain. I would consider the trails to be moderate as is is very steep in places but the trails are well maintained. Very beautiful areas especially the falls. I read that it is possible to see some wild orchids in the spring, but we went to late in the year to see any of them.
Great trail for a quick trip. The waterfall and caves at the start are the only real views and around the caves you can tell people have been there and dont follow the you bring it in you take it out rule so there is a little trash.but well maintained trail and not alot of trail traffic so all around easy, quick and peaceful get away.
