Came out today 6/18/16 and the gate attendant at Stewart Creek Park told me the trail was closed because it was flooded. I asked for recommendations, and she said people just walk around the park. No thanks.
She said for future use, I could use the school down the street to park, or I can pay for parking. Apparently, you have to pay to park where the trail begins.

Very good trail. You have a view of the lake for about 80% of the time. I went on a sunny day during winter amd just 2 weeks after a big flood, but the trail was clean and great for a jog.
Saw a lot of different birds and there were a few families enjoying the day.
Definitely a "yes" if you want to relax fo a couple of hours.
Nice way to spend a couple of hours. The trail is well maintained, mostly gravel, the winds around a lake. There are some areas that cover pretty open spaces but most of the trail passed behind homes. It's about 8 miles round trip if you include the extra loop with marker 5. Good place to take the dogs and the kids. Trail is suitable for hiking, mountain biking, and running.
Liked this trail because is near to home. Take water for ur dog during hot days because you can see d lake but you can't walk to it. The further you go into the trail the nicer it is. Lots of wild flowers n berries. Most of the trail is gravel. This will be the trail I will be walking this year.

Great multi-use trail. I'm biased as it's close to where I live and I can quickly get out on the trail and turn in a 3 mile hike on any given weeknight! Great views of Lake Lewisville. The trail has mile markers to whether your walking, running, or biking, you can pace your distance and time easily.
