Hiking, mountain biking, camping, historical study, and nature/interpretive attractions are enjoyed. Fate Bell Shelter, in the canyon, contains some of North America's oldest Indian pictographs and is one of the oldest cave dwellings in North America. Note: No hiking is allowed in the canyon area without a guide (Contact the park for more information.)

Seminole Canyon State Park is located in southwest Texas on the Rio Grande River. This area is known to get very warm in the summertime. It is recomended that you visit from October to April. There is a tour to the Fate-Bell shelter where you can see a collection of Indian rock art.

Rocky paths and fairly well maintained. a few trails I didn't see a soul all day. nice views in the canyons and across the Rio Grande. easy to moderate.
