This trail is a little overgrown in some places, but very fun. While the trail is a long a road for a couple miles, it is separated by tree lines and heavy enough that you can't even see the road at some points.
A significant portion is also along Bayous and there are plenty of wildlife to see.
The only negative is that trail markings are a little vague and there aren't any maps to help orient yourself.
We really enjoyed this trail. As it is only 6 miles round trip we got a little off course because the markings to continue the trail after the 1st mile was unclear where to go we ended up making it a 7.5 mile hike. lol I recommend it. And it is one that I would feel comfortable doing it without my hubby.
