The trails are paved and the dirt trails do not extend very far from the main concrete pathway. There's a great community center that has free wifi and very clean restrooms.

Beautiful clean,

loved the wildlife and paved biking trail seen a huge bobcat today

This is a very nice trail system through wooded and shaded area. It makes for great hike even in July. Be aware that the trail system on the left and right side of the creek on not directly connected. You would have to go to one or the other end of the trail system to get across. We ended up driving over to the other parking lot. There are unpaved and paved trails. All in all it takes you away from the big city and makes for a nice break.

The paved path is long and nice. Couldn't do the dirt trails because it rained that day. There is a large creek running thru there. Plants are overgrown and nice. The lake is pretty big and almost a mile around. I give it 3 out of 5 stars because this app doesn't have the paved path properly marked. I got lost and ended up walking along the road for a bit to get back to the park. Very little trash and not crowded. The map on here makes it look like a big loop but it's not. The paved path ends. If you want to make a loop around the park you have to use dirt trails. That's hard to do when it's muddy. I got to the furthest part of the path and it ended in a neighborhood then I walked along the road.

This was my first hike in ages; certainly my first hike since smart phone technology. I am absolutely in love with this park and return every weekend. I'm hoping to make my way to every trail they have.

First hike this Spring! Highly recommend.

Great place to walk and enjoy. There are paved trails and unpaved as well. If you take an unpaved trail on the west of the lake inside the woods, it will take you to remote section of the park, where there is a small creek. You will fing that there is clear water flowing through. You can reach the creek by decending carefully down the slope. It's a perfect spot to get that sandwich which you tucked in your back pack. You can hear the water flowing and birds chirping. Excellent place to get that out of this world feeling while sitting just a few miles away from the Plano downtown and only a mile away from interstate 75.

This place is our new favorite. It starts with a great pavilion to have parties, etc. there is a very nice parks and recreation office that has restrooms, water bottle fill stations and a interactive park map.

There are plenty of trails. Paved and natural. Very clean. Well kept. Very large park with beautiful scenery!

A definite must see!

Took the kiddos on a hike. Great place.

Great hike spot, well maintained and marked off pavement trails... Good paved options as well.

As far as North Dallas trails go, this is my favorite. Trails run along Rowlette Creek so my dog loves running down the banks and into the water since it's not too deep. It's rarely crowded so you may see few to no people (on the south side). The north side has a nice paved path that runs along a pond so it's more popular but still nice. Only downside is there is some trash, mostly truck tires & bottles in the creek. Would love to see Plano do some cleanup to enhance the outdoor experience but pretty good nonetheless.

This is a great trail! The dirt paths are well maintained and easy hiking (streams have bridges over them and not too many climbs). There were several fallen trees, but only one area that had made the other impassable. The Austin Chalk formation was a nice surprise and very beautiful.

Nice large park in the middle of a suburban area. I went birding here with several people early in the morning and we saw quite a few birds along the unpaved trails among the trees. The paved trail is nice too and is ideal for bicycling.
