A great trail for running, hiking, exploring with pups and biking. It used to be a very unkempt and unheard of trail but has recently become rather popular. Whatever you use it for or whatever distance you wish to go, it's for you. A good amount of hills on the front side and whenever you're ready to go, its never too hard to find the upper trail that leads back to the trailhead.
We normally run to the 2-mile marker, then take the loop trail back for a 4 mile run. But today we ran to the 3.5 mile turn around before heading back. That stretch of the trail runs mostly along the water. We like the diversity of the terrain. Saw a lot of hikers today, and a few bikers. Awesome day to be on the trail.
trail closed today. 4/15/16
DORBA maintains the trail really good job. but they are a off road bike club and close it to keep bikes off it. unfortunately it shuts out hikers too.
DORBA.org list alot of closed trails in this area.
wear bright clothes on the trail...quite a few hunters this morning.
