This is a great trail with lots of interesting features, including waterfalls, an old dam, an old tree house, a small pond, the old foundations from small houses or cottages from long ago, majestic oaks, and plenty of wild life. I started at the trail head at the substation near Spicewood Springs and Scotland Well. You can also start at Canyon Vista Middle School or Mountain View Park. The fork towards Canyon Vista is accessed by crossing the old dam. That trail is somewhat overgrown and hard to find at times, but had a small pond along it. The main trail (north to south) is very well cared for, and has a lake and a waterfall at the north end of the trail.
