Shikellamy State Park is in Union and Northumberland counties. The 78-acre Shikellamy Overlook section is on the western shore of the Susquehanna River and overlooks the confluence of the West and North Branches of the Susquehanna River. The 54-acre Shikellamy Marina section is in Northumberland County, between the Borough of Northumberland and the City of Sunbury on the southern tip of Packers Island, at the confluence of the West Branch and North Branch Susquehanna River.

Short and fun hike. Great view, nice terrain, and a hike I would recommend for beginners.

Beautiful view and a great trail hike in the fall!

Nice view. Simple day hike.

View of Susquehanna River looking down at the town of Shikellamy. Not very nature oriented. The Deer Trail was well marked and kept with wood chips most of the way. We walked in a gentle rain. Nice after a very dry period recently.

This trail is short but has great scenery. There are some good inclines to get heart rate up. I loop around several times.
