This was a well-maintained trail with great markers. Both the skiing trails and the hiking predominately trails were clear and appropriately challenging. The bluffs and overlooks were absolutely gorgeous. My only problem was that I can't tell if I ever did find the East Overlook. Over where the camping sites are located, the markers are not nearly as good as the rest of the trail. Also, the "shelter" that is marked on the map is little more than a lean-to that was not well-maintained as compared to the rest of the other locations. It is also right next to a lot of signs that say "no trespassing".
The fall colors were just starting to appear, and this made the overlooks like absolutely gorgeous. The prairies were already turning reddish. Also, with it being officially fall now, there are very few bugs out.

Beautiful scenery, well marked trails for the most part. Geodes! and warm bluffs to rest on. Hope to go back to camp sometime, nice looking camp grounds.

Great well maintained trails with 4 beautiful overlooks.
There were deer squirrels chipmunks rabbits along the way. The weather was warm and sunny but the trails were under a nice canopy.

Came out here to do some hiking and find the geocaches in the area. beautiful scenery with easy trails that everybody can enjoy. Well maintained.

Awesome trails with great views of the Mississippi River Valley and of Queen's Bluff (have yet to hike up that). The King's Bluff Trail has an AMAZING meadow of prairie flowers and butterflies! It is so relaxing and beautiful and the hike is not difficult. If, when leaving the park, you want to turn North, there is a back road that goes to Pickwick Mill, Pickwick, MN. The drive is PERFECT and the Mill has a waterfall and some cool history.

Awesome river valley views but also some very quiet meadow/forest trails. My Grandfather once farmed this land. If you look carefully you'll find some very old foundations from the homestead.

The hiking trails were very easy with incredible views. We only went for the day to do some hiking, but will definitely come back to try out the campground. We hiked about 4 miles of the trails with three children ages 9, 7 and 4 and found the trails well maintained and easy to hike.
