This is a great trail but none of it is in Pittsfield. It ends at the Lanesborough Mall.

A nice flat and easy paved trail. Great for the entire family. The views were great even on our cloudy day. Diane's Twist Ice Cream shop is along the way which gives the kids the little extra boost. Traveled 1hr 45 min to get there but well worth the trip.

Awesome trail for biking & walking. 10.6 miles from end to end. Nice easy sudle decline heading east and Just enough incline heading back west to get the blood flowing. The Scenery is worth the visit. Plenty of spots for taking pictures & benches along the way to rest. There's even a restaurant or two right on the path.. Don't think about going; just go, you won't be sorry....

Nice trail with great scenery. Flat train path Awesome time

This is a great rail trail. We started in Lanesborough at the Berkshire Mall and rode to the Adams Visitor Center. The trail is flat and quite scenic. About a third of the distance is along the Cheshire Reservoir and the Berkshire mountains make a nice backdrop. This is well worth the two hour drive and we plan to do it again soon.

The Ashuwillticook Rail Trail is a paved bike path that spans from Adams, MA to Lanesborough, MA. The scenery along the trail is absolutely beautiful! From gorgeous forest, to streams, waterfalls, ponds, and even a lake, this trail takes you through some of the best of what nature has to offer! Included in the great scenic views is a fabulous view of Mt. Greylock, the tallest mountain in Massachusetts.
This rail trail primarily follows along route 8. However, it is set away from the road so far that you rarely feel like you are any where near it. There are also benches and picnic tables dotted along the entire length of the trail.
The trail is a very easy bike or walk and is suitable for families with children of all ages. There is plenty of parking at either end of the trail and at several access points in between. This bike / walk / skate / ski is definitely worth a visit.
