This is a really nice trail for an easy hike . It has benches, a drinking fountain , garbage cans and bags for doggie waste . It is all paved and has several bird feeders along the way . It was excellent to bird watch lots of birds everywhere . It did not have a bathroom along the four mile route just an FYI. The trail was marked well for mile markers, turns, roads, and stops. It had a fair amount of walkers and bikers and felt very safe to walk alone . Overall , this was a lovely little trail !
With the connecting B-Line trail recently extended north through downtown Bloomington, the rail trail makes an excellent spot for a jog or bike ride. The path varies from paved to small stone gravel which can get quite muddy after a good rain. The southern part offers great views of large trees, open land, and is a quick detour away from a nice creek. One of my favorite spots to get fresh air around!
The Clear Creek Rail to Trail is a beautiful trail that is particularly wide. It varies from light gravel to paved and even has a bathroom and water fountain along its way. I find it particularly good for Mountain Biking. Wapehani Mountain Bike park is nearby and ths Clear Creek trailextends through downtown Bloomington. It can be crowded during times of the day but people are friendly and polite. Just don't use it at night.
