Need to remember bug spray next time! Not all trails were well marked, but I enjoyed it.

Great place to hike/walk with the whole family. We followed the perimeter trail which was about 5 miles. Good mix of open field and wooded trails.

It's a beautiful hike with lots to see

Excellent walk/hike! Big cal burn/steps!!! Do the 10 mile route!

Flat trail, mildly interesting. Add Monks mound with the challenge and the view and interest goes up. A good portion of the trail is mowed path through farm fields, which is the reason it is a bit tedious. Wooded areas were nice.

Nice area and the 154 steps up Monks Mound are a real workout! It's a beautiful view from the top.

Trails were hard to follow, they were not mowed. Had to keep searching for trail markers/post which are wood and hard to find because they blended into the trees.

A very pleasant hike. Multiple trail options allowed us to hike the distance that we wanted (7 miles). All routes are flat, but longer routes have stretches through the woods which are nice. Be sure to stop in the visitor's center for a map. Be sure to check out Monk's Mound. Dogs are welcome on all trails and the mound if they are leashed. We saw lots of birds and deer during our hike.

What a neat place! You can read more about it at www.cahokiamounds.org but the gist is that this is the largest archaeological site north of Mexico. Weaving throughout the site's features are several trails that can be mixed & matched to the length you desire. Guidebooks are available for a small price (
